Is there a website that I can go to to see what my children's learning styles are? My son will be 4 next month and he is hands-on and loves doing things himself. Unfortunately, my Mom says he is a lot like me. When I was in grade school and did not 100% FOR SURE know an answer to a question, then I would leave it blank. I did not like being wrong and he seems the same way- not that he has taken tests, or that tests are important, but I want him to really try to do something even if he can't do it perfect. (I ave already noticed that he will only color for a few minutes because it isn't 'perfect') It isn't effecting his learning, yet. He loves practicing letters, matching things together and the other things 3 year olds learn- I just want to be prepared for this challenge ahead of time. Has anyone experienced this with their kids? Oh, another thing is he HATES to lose... this is how my Mom came about talking to me about when I was a kids. I asked her why he freaks out when I say losing is okay, because if the other kids lose all the time, then they are sad....

My daughter on the other hand, although only 21 months, seems pretty carefree and loves to color and do crafts and bubbles... the art thing must be from me- but all that carefree attitude has got to be either a 2nd child thing, or from my husband....

I kind of diverged from my original question... I have seen a book with learning styles and I was wondering if their was some sort of quiz I could fin online?

Answers to anything in this long post would be appreciated!!! :hat

For the most part any child under 6 usually learns the same way. Hands on.

I read this book when i was trying to figure out my kiddo's learning style.. I found it was a pretty good read.. Some of the wording seemed hard to understand but overall good choice when looking at learning styles.

Hope that helps!

Possibly auditory/kinisthetic??? ALSO, do a google search on learning styles.. You will find alot of info. i bet and possibly a test you can take. I have one but it was given me in my parenting class required to homeschool.. and there's no link to where they got it.. :idunno
