WASHINGTON - Representative Nancy Pelosi (CA-D) called today for Congressional hearings on Congress. She invited Senate Majority Leader Harry Ried (NV-D) to join the effort.
"Our ratings are lower than the President's approval ratings," Pelosi stated. "It must mean that people aren't satisfied with the job we are doing. Instead of grand standing by grilling the oil company execs, we should be examining the reasons for such historically low numbers."
Pelosi presented a list of items that the hearings would explore, including publicity stunts that embolden Jihadists, earmarks, and run away federal spending. "That's just the beginning," Pelosi added. We've got enough dirty laundry here to keep us busy for the rest of the year."
