scrapper you are so right and it is a tragedy.


BTW: If bible preaching pastors


did sermons on Discernment and spoke out against false teachers

and taught christians how to use Biblical Discernment,

then many of the false teachings like Rob Bell's wouldnt be able to infiltrate the churches

totally totally agree w/you.
this has been an issue that have recently brought up with my own pastor....i think he just doesn't think this stuff is as dangerous as it is because he doesn't preach it...but i try to make him understand that silence is dangerous and that he should be teaching people discernment!!

sigh.
its been a tough 8 months or so for me....
i think people i go to church with are starting to think i am nuts.
their prioirties are just not the same as mine.
thing is they don't understand that the things we think aren't dangerous are the very things that're going to get us in trouble!

Yes. OK. We all know that it is very bad. BUT...what are we supposed to do????? I am so frustrated.

I didn't think this was a very strong argument against Bell. He makes some decent points, but I don't see the reinforcement to really back them up well. I'd like to see an actual head to head debate between some of these people. I think that would be very interesting and very eye-opening.
