I know that this is probably a dumb question but I need to know what the bible says and I'm not that good at researching or memorizing it yet.

1) When God chose her to carry Jesus, was she without sin at that point ?
2) Does the bible say that she remained without sin ?

I'm fairly positive that Jesus is, and was, the ONLY person without sin ever.

Help me a little bit...

Mary was a sinner just like every other person of this world. Jesus was the only one without sin. Mary just found favor in God's site, that is all.

Mary was a virgin when she conceived Jesus, not sinless. She was never sinless-the Bible clearly states that only Jesus lived without any sin, and she did not remain a perpetual virgin either, as she bore children to Joseph.

Mary was a sinner like all humans. She needed a savior like we all do, she was not immaculately conceived (like the catholics say), she sinned her whole life like we all do. You must be talking to catholics...here is a link to Biblegateway with the key word Mary searched for, you will see that there isn't really much said about Mary, she was a vessel to bring the Messiah into the world, nothing more, nothing less. She is not to be worshipped.
(Some verses are about Mary Magdelene and the Mary that was Lazerus' sister as well - you can use this website to search the scriptures quickly and easily)

I meant to include that too. Some religions actually preach she stayed a virgin all her life. :doh

Mankind's sin curse is passed through our human fathers - ultimately from Adam (from what I learned somewhere). Jesus had no human father since He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. So another proof of Him being born without sin. Mary, was just one of us. She just happened to be the one God chose for this matter.

Yes, this is what I also understand. Eve was fooled by the snake into sinning, while Adam knew what he was doing and did it anyway. Sin is passed through the fathers. Since Jesus' Father is God, who is sinless, Jesus is sinless - and He stayed that way, too.
