Letter: Media ignored truth behind climate change

By Tom Mueller, St. Cloud

A year ago, NASA's Goddard Institute, and separately the National Science Foundation, released a major report about ice breaking off the Antarctic due to global warming. As expected, the mainstream press reported this in the context of human-caused global warming.

Only if you dug further into the reports did you discover that the scientists involved, who admitted intent to advance the global warming theory, were baffled by the ice breaking off. Why? Because their satellite and ground temperature data and ice cores showed that the Antarctic has actually cooled in the past 35 years and gained more ice over that same period.

The scientists admitted puzzlement, because it did not fit their global warming models.

...

Never mind the actual data that prove otherwise. Never mind that pieces of the Arctic and Antarctic have broken off for thousands of years. Never mind that the Antarctic is thicker and colder than it was 35 years ago. These facts do not fit the premise of the media boilerplate, therefore they must be ignored.

It works like this,

1. exploit ignorance to the max concerning science

2. present ONLY the view that "global warming" is happening

3. do NOT provide FACTS or EVIDENCE that validates "global warming".

4. get people hysterical about it and have them believe that taxing them will solve the imaginary "global warming" problem.

5. end the presentation with disaster warnings.

By following these simple step, you will get people to do things they normally wouldn't do by creating this imaginary, dire, crisis.
