It must be a new form of ecumenicalism that the Roman Catholic Church is willing to try for the time being.
Hey, the Pope was willing to kiss the Koran out of respect......maybe someday they can get a "kiss the Pope's ring" in return.
Anything is possible....I guess....
It is getting to the point where the absurd is becoming "normal".

Of course I believe it we are in the END TIMES and shouldn't be shocked at this public display of all roads lead to Heaven type religious mentality. They are deluded because the reality is they are on the Wide Road that Leads to Death or as the band ACDC put it quite nicely "Highway to to Hell".

2TI 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

MT 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Michael Pfleger is not new to controversy. He is a radical campaigner against guns and drugs who has use some very dubious methods to make his point in the past. He just hasn't been in the news recently until now. I may be wrong but I think he was kicked out of the Catholic church some time ago but still calls himself a priest.

Here is an excerpt from an article and the link to the full article. This excerpt is about 3/4 of the way down in the article.

This fear by the media to seem racist and the timidity of the IRS to look bad in the media has actually encouraged many more hustlers of varied races with clerical collars and “divinity” degrees to join the fold. A strident, obnoxious pharisaical white hustler who has done so is the blond priest Michael Pfleger who has affected a black slang and hip words, basking in the adulation of his congregation to whom he shamelessly patronizes with an easy religion, Pflegerism which he has made up himself. The main tenet of Pflegerism is that guns go off by themselves and kill people so they must be collected and taken off the street—and whitey is responsible for them being there.

that is as irresponsible and rediculous as my then 16yr old step-daughter who said the spoon made the mess on the table when she knocked it out of the bowl.

No one has to be responsible for themselves anymore. . . . .

that is one of the big things wrong with the world.they rather blame someone else or a thing that can't walk or talk for something the person that has done all the finger pointing him or herself has done.:tsk

Bill O'Reilly is fed up and is going on the offense now ~ he's had enough of these nuts who use their pulpit as a platform for hate. If you click on the 'Talking Points' you can see it.

I just watched it and I have a big problem with why these nutjobs are not facing hate crime charges far more serious than claiming the bible condemns homosexuality at a gay rally. Maybe it is because they are insane and that makes them kindred spirits with the mainstream media wonks.
