They are voting to pass a plan to give tax credits to low income people to buy homes. Now, if you earn less than $70k a year, you'll get a $7,500 credit; but if you buy a home valued at $729,750 you'll get a whole $10,000. For couples, you can earn up to $110,000 jointly to qualify. :scratch

Tell me, how many people earning $70k a year can buy a $729,750 home? :idunno

Shows how out of touch with reality they are.

now that is absolutely ridiculous. while i would love to have some money to put down on purchasing my own home, $7500 isn't nearly enough to make a big enough downpayment to help lower your monthly payment or help very much with closing costs. ridiculous

shows how out of touch our congress critters really are, sometimes I wish they would read the constitution.... o wait they can't read that is the problem they are being told by the lobist which way to vote or there will not be any "gifts" which by the way are very unconstitutional

Ok, this might just sound a teeny bit radical, but I say; Nuke 'em, nuke 'em all..Start over with a clean slate, new building, and Reps an Senators that are Believers.
I have been let go when younger for performing my job BETTER than they perform theirs. All we are seeing is the corruption and stupidity brought to light by Father.

PPppfffttttt! :hehee give them a big Bronx cheer! A measly 10,000 isn't going to make a dent in the cost of a 700,000 home.
:doh But hey Congress, you can all give us the money anyway! We wont buy homes...we'll just buy FOOD AND GAS!!!!

Jesus will be squaring that away very soon brother...

Until then, as hard as it is, we should pray for them. :pray
They need to humble themselves before the Lamb of God before they are humbled by the Lion of Judah...

... this might just sound a teeny bit radical, but I say; Nuke 'em, nuke 'em all..Start over with a clean slate, new building, and Reps an Senators that are Believers. I don't think that should be done. Nuking them would likely cause death. Buildings are just things so they don't need replacing. How does a nation start over with reps and senators that are believers? Would they be voted in? That won't happen. If not, who would do the appointing? No matter who it is, it would be pretty much replacing the Constitution along with everything else you proposed. Then it would be a different country. A Christian country? No such thing. Our Lord's Kingdom is not of this world. ???
