With Iran and a few more of the middle eastern nations switching their oil burses to the Euro instead of the dollar, the dollar is losing its stature. I think it's not a matter of "if" but "when" the dollar collapses. Plus look at all the American currency controlled by foreign nations. All they would have to do is band together, dump the currency on the market, and there would be a huge collapse. The dollar would be worthless overnight.

With times the way they are I often loose site of the main thing. And that is to keep the main thing, the main thing which is this
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
and
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Sometimes we get hung up with cares of this world, and I include myself in this statement.
Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Mat 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Mat 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
We all need to refocus. Time is short. As Paul said lets keep our eyes on the prize and lay aside every weight that slows us down. This is my daily prayer and daily struggle.
Just some words of encourgement for everyone. God Bless

Amen to that, Todd. I agree wholeheartedly. This is a passage of great comfort to those of us who are Christians, in that we should have no worries.
Of course, I also got blasted by someone for posting the same thing on another thread, because they were angry that I suggested that they trust in the Lord in case of any emergency rather than their food supply and bomb shelter or whatever. It's sad to me that not only would someone lose sight of trusting the Lord, but that he would also become angry when given a Biblical reminder of what God Himself told us, in the words of Christ Himself. I was even told that this passage doesn't pertain to food - go figure...
Anyway, thanks for that great post.

Look at how much ground the dollar has lost against the Euro in the last two years.Soon our currency will be worthless and we will be desperate for a solution.
Even if this was true, how would the dollar be strengthened by merging it with two weaker currencies?

It wouldn't. We would just be dumping it ourselves and switching to another currency.

It is true. Got to Yahoo finance and click on the Dollars to Euros conversion. Then click on the 2 and 5 year charts. Ditto to the replacing the currency with another.

Wow...it's amazing to see someone like Jefferies, in a position controlling that kind of wealth, who buys into this garbage about the NAU and the Amero.
This is not going to happen. This will never happen. Congress would have to pass this, and there is absolutely no way Congress is every going to give up the dollar and join an international currency. NEVER, EVER, EVER.
Never say "never" :nono

Actually, the Bank of Canada is predicting that the Canadian dollar will be on par, if not, worth more than the American dollar by the end of 2007. Currently it is at a 30 year high, just below $0.95 to the US dollar. Current strong economic trends in Canada will push our dollar higher and higher and the Bank of Canada is not moving to stop the strength of our dollar.
Also, the merging of 3 large economies will create more stability for the new currency, just the same as what happened for the euro, which is currently flotting around $1.50.
Interesting times ahead for sure!
God Bless!
