And what do they mean when they say "New World Order?"
With the collapse of the Soviet Union, that order ended, too, and the world moved into a new era.
Then why did he say New World Order? Why didn't he say New World Era? http://www.wackypackages.org/realproductsscans/2004/jk/era_small.jpg
(just joking)
Anyway, i was wanting to comment that i don't think it will be all that difficult to change over to other currencies anyway (IF this is what we are heading for). I mean, up here in Maine, if someone uses Canadian change to pay for something, we hardly notice. A quarter is a quarter here, whether Canadian or American, the only time it makes any difference is if you plan to use the Canadian quarter in an American soda machine. We get Canadian quarters in $10 rolls from the local banks, we get dimes, nickels and pennies the same way. If you redeem your recyclable soda bottles, you may be paid in a blend of American and Canadian change. Paper money is a different story. And loonies and twonies don't pass. But we even get Bermudian coins that pass just as easily as Canadian.
I never noticed a problem growing up. I remember thinking it was a bit strange when i started working as a teen and people from out of state would have a head-fit if you gave them Canadian change at the cash register. They'd be all uptight about it and rudely ask for 'real' money.:fear I just apologize and tell them that its no biggie up here. On any given day, as much as 20% of the change in our drawers is Canadian. Mostly pennies....
I have no idea what this does to exchange rates and stuff, i'm sure if someone came up with a stack of Canadian coins there'd be a problem, but in general as described above...its really no big deal.

Do you think if Mexico, Canada and the US form a Union of their own, this would explain why the US isn't specifically mentioned in end times? We wouldn't be mentioned because we no longer exist as we are today, new name, currency, etc.

Maybe this is where I should put on my trusty tin foil hat, but...
I believe that it would be impossible to stop using the dollar and change to another currency, if the change had to go through normal governmental steps. Hey, the government can barely get NORMAL business done in our current system.
But, as a scenario, image that the dollar were to devalue to a point where it was no longer a useful financial asset, through a very fast action of either stock market bust, massive foreign debt dumping or who knows. If a secondary financial system, running parallel to ours (such as a NAU-controlled system) was made available as an option that would allow dollar-to-amero exchange and carried a stronger financial backing due to the combined NAU base....
There would be a sincere drive to convert to the new, more stable system. And, the dollar would be left intact legally. Basically, it would be a voluntary shift into a new, non-dollar economy.
OK, I'll head on back to the rubber room...but I'm keeping the tin foil hat on. It's shiny, and makes my brain feel all warm. :)

"We are pilgrims in a strange Land"
Yikes! The longer I'm here, the more I feel like I'm just visiting! Anybody Else feel this way?
Also, I agree with ya'll about the lack of worry. We are to fear nothing! What's the worst thing anyone can do to you? Take your life. They can't have mine because it belongs to HIM, so what do I have to worry for? They'd just hasten my long-awaited return to HIM.

No need to put on your tinfoil hat. The electronic dollar is king and has been for some time. Heck, it's us common folk that actually use paper money. The NYSE, the banking system, and all govts. use electronic dollars for everything-doesn't matter what currency they use-it's all converted into whatever and wherever it needs to go in the system. Even if it comes out at the end as a check to John Q Public which is taken back to a bank somewhere.
But it's us that likes the feel of cold hard cash in our hands, and if you've been watching, those who use cash are starting to be stigmatized (nice word huh), like commercials showing how we slow down everyone else by using cash, and how expedient it is to use paypass or a chip to pay for drinks in a club.
Call it whatever you want, amero, dollar, yen etc once it's in the system its all electronic money and virtually the same, and the time will come that in order to buy or sell Joe Common will need a way to access it in the system just like the big boys do today. And there's nothing tinfoil about that.

YES! so you've noticed it too? the commercial with the hapless guy paying cash for his cafeteria lunch is such a sign of the times... wonder how many others on the board have noticed it?

Hi!
This is my first post outside the welcome forum.
This thread is one of the reasons I felt compelled to register and post to begin with. These commercials and their "use-a-card-or-look-like-a-dork-in-public" are very disturbing. Notice how all the actors have a "get-with-the-program" or "what-is-wrong-with-this-loser?" expression when the guys pull out cash in a couple of the commercials, or when the lady writes a check in another one.
:panic:fear
But seriously, I feel that this is all a ploy to get people to accept changes in the system such as the amero and the inevitable switch to a cashless society like the one being proposed in the European Union (for which there is already a thread in this forum).
It will be a very simple thing to go from there to the mark of the beast. Why?
There are several reasons.
First of all, we all know how tiresome it is to wait in line at the store, etc.
We've all been there, with the foot tappers, the sighers, the eye-rollers, the "hmhph"ers and the downright loudmouth complainers.
Many of us fit in one of these categories. As a former cashier, I have been abused verbally by many of them, and as a shopper, I've also been on the receiving end. Add a couple of screaming kids, a bad day at work, traffic jams, and a general rush to get everywhere and nowhere at the same time, and you've got the formula for the trip-to-the-store-from-hell. Then somebody says, "Oh, I have those 3 pennies somewhere!"
:nuke
So, these credit card companies tell us, just swipe that l'il ole card, and you can be a carefree member of society and not annoy your fellow shoppers.
Next step, why swipe a card that you can lose, misplace, or have stolen when we can just stick this l'il ole microchip in your hand that will never turn up missing?
:shocked:panic:runhills:runaway
Oh, and remember how all those crazy Christians disappeared?
:abduct :alone
You don't want that to happen to you, too, do you? We can protect [read: track] you at all times by monitoring your chip, and the chips in little Suzy and Johnny, and even Fido, so you can rest easy and let us protect [control] you. You do want to protect little Suzy and Johnny don't you?
Not pleasant, but definitely not impossible. At first it will be funny, like the commercials are showing: "Oh, look at the moron who still insists on paying in cash!" It is a VERY small step from there to anger: "What IS your problem? Why won't you just go along with everybody else?"
This what we are facing.

Welcome to the board.
What you said pretty much sums it up. Thankfully we won't be here when it all happens.
