Can we start a thread of companies that build strictly in the US so that we can refer to it when we need to buy things?

I found this site that provides some information. It looks pretty good...http://www.madeinusa.org/

this one, too http://www.stillmadeinusa.com/

This is a great idea! This thread would have saved me a lot of time over the past few months when I decided to replace my "made in China" stoneware. After many hours of research, I'd almost decided to purchase Pfaltzgraff when I read the FAQ on their website and learned that all their "Asian factories" adhere to the highest US standards! Needless to say, I dusted off my 30 year old Corelle and purchased a few place settings of Fiesta to supplement.

Altho probably too late, I now try to buy "Made in USA". My mother tried to convince me this day was coming over 18 years ago when she lost her job of 30 years due to offshoring. I feel like we've all been asleep for the past 20 years or so while this happened!

I'll start with this. American flags made in the USA.

Home Depot and Lowes both carry this brand.

The one thing that irks me more than anything else is to see an American flag NOT made in America. Now that's just not right!!!

Wow, absolutely!

Over at http://www.devvy.com/ Devvy Kidd has a link with lots of resources:

You can even check employers (and add new ones) who hire illegals.

I'm proud to say that Fannie May Brands candy - http://www.fanniemay.com/ - which owns local favorite Harry London choclates, http://www.harrylondon.com/, uses all American products. They say in an e-mail I just got that some of their packaging is foreign made, but hey, the products are all-American, and that's the important part for our sweet teeth :) (Well, "sweet tooths" doesn't sound right.)

I e-mailed another local candy and nut shop that you can order from online, just like London's, but they haven't e-mailed back yet. If they do, I'll add it here.

Great thread! :thumb

We should also have a TRAITOR thread where we list all who have contributed to the destruction of America.:heh You know, like AT&T, Hershey's, Heinz, Whirlpool, etc. I told my hubby last night everyone should refuse to purchase their products or use their services. But who really will? To me it's no different then going to a Jane Fonda movie back in the late 60's and early 70's.

My family refuses to buy Hershey anymore. It's killing my daughter Rachel because she loves Breyer's Reeces ice cream. :aha

I've switched to nestle's Toll House cocoa or the Sav-A-Lot store brand.
