In Acts 2:22-36 specifically verse 34 It says David did not ascend into the Heavens? does this mean David did not go to Heaven?

Jesus is the first fruit of the resurrection.
His new eternal body ascended to heaven.
David will ascend in his new body at the rapture.

The context of the passage is the physical resurrection of the body.
David, considered heir to the throne, was not physically raised like Jesus because he is not the first fruit.
Only Jesus was physically raised.
David went to sheol when he died and Jesus ushered him into heaven when he preached to the spirits in prison.
At the rapture, David will get his new physical body and will enter heaven physically as Jesus did.

The way I understand it, hades is a temporary realm where OT Saints went when they died. It has 2 sections (paradise and torment) separated by a great gulf. The righteous went to paradise, the unrighteous to torment awaiting the FINAL judgement.

Anyone want to elaborate (or correct me?)

Yes, and as Buzz said after Jesus was resurrected he went there and took the OT saints(including David)-spritual bodies to Heaven (Ephesians 4).

So your saying this passage was referring to Jesus ressurection and ascension on the throne ?It's referring to Jesus obtaining a physical resurrection body first, before anyone else, David did not get to do this because Jesus did not yet pay for sin.
