Several days ago, while doing some yardwork, my husband and I discovered a little bird nest with three little eggs in it. It just so happens, that we can also view this ltttle nest from our kitchen window. (we can peer right into it!) We noticed that it is a nest of Red birds. We watched the father and mother taking turns warming the nest. Then, this past Saturday, three little Red birds hatched! They don't have any feathers or coloring, and they are mostly just three little "beaks" who don't do much of anything except wake up and open thier little mouths when their parents feed them. Yesterday, I was watching them sleep while the parents were away. One was sort of moving around in the nest. Then... something amazing! I kid you not...the little Red bird YAWNED! I saw his little mouth open as his little chest took in air then he exhaled! For a moment I was filled with such joy. I've been sort of "down in the dumps" lately, but when I witnessed that...I don't know...just pure joy!For the Lord to allow me to see such a thing and feel so blessed by it...I just wanted to give thanks and share it with my friends here. :wave
