Ok, we went from snow to 70 degrees in to days. The current weather update states 'clear and light breeze.' Light breeze!??! Is anyone else in the KC area? I know I have anxiety issues, but it sounds like our house is about to blow down! The animals outside are going nuts, and I can actually see out mini blinds moving as the wind blows THROUGH the windows (and we don't have a cheap house).:panic Ok, I need to relax, but seriously...last week our basketball goal blew over and our grill was blown across the back yard. I can't even move the huge thing! Will someone in this area tell me I'm just losing it and I should take some medicine and try to sleep? Or should I take cover in the basement and ignore the weather channel? :fear

Oh ya you guys are getting what we got just about 7 hours ago. Central Wyoming here, and there was some pretty bad winds followed by rain/ snow. Same thing, today it was 75, and the temp just dropped in no time late in the evening.
I know springtime in the rockies is crazy, but wow!:panic

Talk about weather. I am a claims adjuster and I have seen 2 things just this year that I have never witnessed before.
First was an ice storm in Tulsa earlier. Most of us have seen ice storms. This was different. I saw 100 year old oaks and maples split open like flowers all the way to the base of their trunk. The ice wasn't "on" the trees, it was "in" them... all we can figure is that it rained enough prior to the freeze, it soaked the trees (and everything else) and then it froze, inside the trees. Tulsa looked like a war zone.
Then, last weekend a hail storm hit the Ft. Smith area. Most of have seen hail before. Even "big" hail. But this was biblical size. Everything was pummeled by hail ranging from golf ball to tennis ball size. And it came down with velocity. I'm hearing stories of horses getting beat to death, a cat that was beat to death just trying to cross a road, brick and siding walls of buildings with holes in them. It didn't last but maybe 15 minutes, but it was enough to take out entire restaurants, bash through roofs of homes, etc.
I"m sure these incidents arent the first ones, but they were a first for me because of how intense they were, and damage done. I could certainly see how God used "weather" to make His point on things. And I've witnessed Hurricane Wilma first hand. It doesnt scare me, in fact, its pretty awesome to watch and a good reminder of who does have the power in this place. And it "aint" us....:)

TN has had very strange weather patterns this year as well - increasingly so over the last few years, as a matter of fact, but this one seems to top all of them. Lots of shifts from cold to hot, then cold again, and a ton of wind and storms. Hope the weather settles down for you soon. :)

It will be interesting to see what happens next Tuesday...Pennsylvania's primary day. I seem to notice that we get really bad weather especially in the mid-southern states on primary days. :thinking Has anyone else noticed this?
