1st Check Power, Plugs, Cables, also check that the power switch in the back of the computer hasn't been turned off.

thank you for posting..I don't have a power switch in the back of my computer and all the plugs are plugged in..now what?..

Does other things plugged into the same outlet work? I know that's a dumb question but maybe your surge protector is not flipped on or isnot making contact. Check your breaker box also if other things don't work from the outlet.

ok..I'll try that..will let you know..next time I'm at the library..but I think the outlet works..will check..times up..gotta go..

My neighbor has the same problem with her husband.

Some power supplies have a little switch near the spot on the computer where you plug in the power cord.

If all your plugs are in, and they have power, also dose the monitor power up (LCD or CRT ?)

You may need to have someone who know a bit about computers take a look at it.
