I have just finished a book on Daniel and it had a piece about Petra and it stated "there are magnetic fields around Petra that will not allow planes to fly directly over it. Hence missles would go off target also". Has anyone heard this? I could not find info on Google about it. TY. :hug

First I heard of it. However if the geological make up of the surrounding rocks contain substances that could interfer with signals that would make sense.
Might search for the rock formations - geology of Petra for that answer:wave

I would really like to know if that is true....unfortunately there are a few well-intentioned authors that embellish the facts sometimes...I am teaching Isaiah now and will be in the 60's in a few months...it would be nice to use this info if it is true.

I tried to google it and just came up with basicly standard stuff, although the makeup of the sandstone is kind of different,,Many compounds that just might block certain frequency spectrums. Maranatha!

Doubtfully true.
I have sent an email to the author and ask for some verification. We will see if I get an answer. :)
