We were listening to the local news (which is mainly about sports) and they were talking about gas prices going up. They then commented that we should buy gas late in the evening as it is during the day when the prices are raised and especially during rush hour. To avoid buying during rush hour because that is when the prices are raised???

Is this the price is right game or what? you need good timing now to catch gas at its lowest before it jumps a quarter or 50 cents for that "day"? This is wild and I personally dont think its going to stop. We are here and we as a country are going down.

I heard another guy (don't remember his name) on Glenn Beck last night. Glenn was looking for the magic $ on price of oil for when our economy comes crashing down on us. Our society and economy is not set up for $200 or $300 a barrel of oil. They were commenting on going back to the horse and buggy days, etc. in a very real manner. The airlines and trucks cannot handle those prices and neither can we as consumers. When someone finally pays $150 to fill up a gas tank... maybe then they will figure it out. :fearI know we'll be ok if all this happens.. but I just as soon not go through this time if I dont have to.... makes you want to take up the high jump or something just to get a head start on going up!! :faint

Already paying $80.00 for a tank of regular unleaded. And I do that twice each week. Between my wife, son and myself...we are over $1000.00 per month.....Guess I'm gonna have to move back to the city......

I also spend alot of time at this web site.........

Yet...people keep buying those SUV's, and keep guzzling the gas. These prices will not ease until we quit the guzzling.

My sister and bil own 2 suv's and both live in PA, and drive to MD everyday to go to work. They are soooo guilty of the above, yet think OBAMA will do something about the prices.

People are sooooo fooled. No president can do anything about the gas prices, unless they ease the federal taxes on them. Only when "we the people" learn to lessen the "supply and demand" will anything be done.

Well you can see how people will be riding horses in Revelation when the blood rises to the horses bridle. A few nukes in the middle east and the flow of oil stops. Maybe it's time to invest in a horse farm.:aha

Using this site, the lowest price in my ZIP is $3.71, Average is $3.84, Highest is $4.17.

I'm going to have to get serious about taking my bike and the train to work. Yikes.

we currently live 1hr and a half away from my husbands work. He takes the train in three days a week. The other days he makes appointments local and gets the company to pay the gas.

I have 3 different routes home each day. All between 60 - 70 miles. I check all the zips in those areas on days that I need gas and go to the cheapest. That site isn't always current, but they tell you the date of the price and usually the cheapest one yesterday is still the cheapest today even if it went up again.
