Have caught this author with one of America's leading TV personalities promoting it on the air. Went to Walmart to look for the book Dead Heat as my home was overun with teenage girls having a bday party so I figured I could get some reading done. Saw this book on an endcap. Fliped through....uhhmmm it is scary to see this sort of stuff is filling the minds of millions of americans not to mention how many christians may be reading this and really dwelling on it. No wonder we have departed from sound doctrines.

What is truly alarming or creepy is the desire by the promoters/authors is to have whatever this book preaches to be done or carried out around the world at the same time this meditation?!:shocked

Ugh! I agree, that book is everywhere! Bunch of garbage! :tsk Walmart always has plenty of copies of them, yet not one book of Joel Rosenburg's which is what I was looking for as well when Dead Heat came out.

I'm assuming you're talking about Oprah's "textbook?" I was in Wal-Mart the other day looking for "Dead Heat" as well. Didn't have it. I remember a while back seeing Joel's "Epicenter" there....

Which leaves me in a bind. My wife works at a Wal-Mart, makes a lot more than the anti-Wal-Mart crowd thinks people make there....do I complain? Grab all the Oprah books off the shelf and burn them somewhere?

Since Wal-Mart considers themselves as a Christian business :idunno why do they sell her book? Money, that's all. Heck, the rack is filled with Rick Warren, Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer, so it is totally understandable why they have Oprah's as well.

Textbook was the word I had in mind:thumb Nothing exist in a vacum so I guess if our culture will empty it's mind of Truth then well this stuff will get in. A couple of weeks ago I spent a couple of eve listening to this stuff and what gets me is how this guy is being elevated to something other than a man. Just my hunch but this is not of this world.
