The earth Quakes

I'm watching fox right now. They are talking about people actually leaving the area "reno" because of the earth quake that might happen.

I think we are going to see more of this. Production & Work is going to start slowing down?

I have to ask if Las Vegas is next. California has always shook in recent times. In the last couple of months, however, Mexacali/Northern Baja has joined in. Wells, Nevada was added to the list and now Reno has started moving, too. Check out: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/US2/38.40.-121.-119_eqs.php. This list contains 2 non-Reno quakes. In the last seven days what is see is a 4.7, 4.2, 4.2 and a 4.1 plus 12 that are 3.0-3.9, 36 that are 2.0-2.9 and 279 that register 1.0-1.9. If you look at http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/ it shows a quake cone from the California coast to Yellowstone. So far, Vegas has been spared but should we expect to be any different than other places?

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Dozens of minor earthquakes shook Reno on Sunday as a series of temblors entered its third month and prompted some frazzled residents to leave their homes.

SNIP: After being awakened as many as four times a night by quakes, retiree Sandra Petty decided to spend nights 10 miles away at the Sparks home of her daughter, Stefanie McCaffrey.

"The quakes have sent her emotions and nerves into a tailspin," McCaffrey said Sunday. "She was exhausted, and she couldn't relax or unwind. She just needed to get away so she could have a good night's sleep."

I think they are just leaving their homes afraid something might fall on them, it doesn't say they are leaving Reno....

I live 2 miles from where the quakes are taking place, we had another 4.2 at 4:33 this morning, when the quake hit I rolled off the bed and ran out of the house!!!!, I'm pretty shook up!!!!.....and I'm having a difficult time with all this!!!! Part of the reason they are so bad is because they are so shallow!!!

:pray Praying for everyone's safety in the Reno area, and for peace of mind! It must be very hard on everyone there to go through all these repeated after shocks. From what I read in the news, it's especially hard to sleep at night. Some people are going to stay with relatives/friends outiside the Reno area.

I'm having a difficult time sleeping....we have had over 400 quakes in the last 5 days!!!! I don't know what to do!!!! I'm at work now, wish I had a cot and could just sleep for 10 hours!!!

A friend dropped by yesterday unannounce, I know the lord sent her and she shared with me Psalms 46, I just cried after she read it....it was a good cry. I know all this will all pass. pls keep us all in your thoughts and prayers

It appears that a big one is coming for that area. Are there any precautions being taken by FEMA, state officials, local officials? Is there any positioning of utilities, public safety, National Guard, hospitals, etc in the expected event of something happening. Or is it they are just doing their usual nothing and when something happens they will claim stupidity like all the other times.

As far as I know some preparing is being done, as far as our household we are prepared as well as expected, such as water, food, ect
