a few month ago i posted thanking the Lord for helping me to accept my rabbit's blindness (cataracts). then my mind started wandering :thinking and i thought that i had let my Lord Jesus down by going back on my prayer. i'd prayed for him to help me accept that BB (my rabbit) had gone totally blind :pray last monday my BB had cataract surgery, i was so worried i was gonna lose her :fear man was i praying the day/week before...i annoyed the heck outta Jesus. firstly here's a pici of me & BB taken on Saturday the 19th 2 days before her op.

you can see her left eye that's the one that had the cataract removed...top right of the photo i've put in a pici of the cataract in it's little container...yes, i get to keep it as a souvenier(sp?). the AA battery is there just so you can tell how big the cataract is, it's about the size of an M&M...big bugger :twitch anyway - Dr. Ziggy (the eye specialist) said that she tried to get the cataract out with the machine they have...they put a little hole in the eye and shove stuff in the eye to break the cataract into 4 pieces...then they suck it out. unfortunetly BB's cataract was so hard that the Doc. had to stop that method and make a larger incision in BB's eye and actually pull the darn thing out!!
there was no time to try for the 2nd eye because the longer bunny was under aneasthetic the more likely she wouldn't pull through, time was a major factor. as the Doc. had such trouble with the 1st cataract that was it. we were aiming for 1, 2 woulda been amazing. but BB is here and that's the main thing...last Thursday I took BB back to the University where she had the op.
BB can see great out of her left eye now :yeah thank you Jesus! the only thing she don't have is a lens...so close up things are blurry & far away. the week before the op. she was getting eye drops 3x a day...this last week she's been getting that as well as stuff to drink. in all i spent AUD$1250 *ouch* i know it was alot to spend but BB is healthy and i didn't want her to be totally blind for the rest of her life, i'm hoping she has a few good years left in her.
i asked Jesus to please forgive me for being afraid last week - i knew that i'd made a decision that could result in BB dying :( i prayed that whatever happened I would know that he was with me. thankfully BB pulled through :pray Thank You Jesus my wonderful Lord and Savior!!
