A few months ago I asked for prayer because I was looking at houses closer to my daughter.
I can't even remember the number of houses I looked at, but there were plenty of them.
Well, last week I was feeling much better (I had surgery 2 weeks ago) and asked my daughter if she wanted to pick me up and take me house hunting on Saturday last. She said sure that would be fun. So I called my agent and she set up the appointments and we met her Saturday morning at 10am.
There were 3 new listings in the area I was interested in. My agent suggested we return to view 2 I had already looked at a month before, so my daughter could see them. So I said OK.
It amazes me how the Lord works things out :yeah
We went to look at this one house I had looked at about a month ago and my agent said, they reduced the price. When I looked at the price listed I said it is still more than I want to spend.
The house is 4 years old, the owners are being transferred due to work. It is so well kept and so clean that one could move in the day after the people move out.
After looking at the other houses, my daughter said, Mom, lets go look at the house we liked, so we went back again to look at it.
My daughter said if she was a single lady (thank God she has a good husband) she would put a contract on it immediately. My agent was also talking the good points (my agent is a friend of mine for over 30 years and is a sister in Christ).
So I said OK, I will put a contract and offer on this home. They were both happy and smiling till I told them how much my offer was. The look on their faces were like :doh "Oh, now she did it, too low, the people will not go with that" (They did not know that I had prayed and asked the Lord to provide a house for the amount I offered, when I first started looking at houses) I felt at peace with the offer and placed it in the Lord's hands.
So we went to my daughter's home to use her computer and printer to print the contract and necessary papers. Before we did this I told them we should pray over this contract so we held hands and prayed that God would Bless this offer and that I would find favor and they would accept the offer.
I was calm the whole time from Saturday to today. I was talking to my Lord Jesus and I told Him that I trust completely in Him. He knows what my future holds not I. He knows if I will be comfortable in that house. He knows if I will feel safe in that house. He knows if it is right for me. He knows all and I trust His judgement. I said if the people did not accept the offer I would take it that the house was not for me and that was OK with me.
Well, today when I got home from the doctor there was a message on my recorder from my agent telling me she had real good news. When I finally got her on the phone, she said that the people accepted the offer without a counter request for more money. Both my realtor and their realtor were at a loss for words because neither of them thought that the owner would accept my offer without a counter request for more money.
Oh, yes, my daughter said, "Mom, this house is for you. The doors are wide enough for you to get a walker though when you need it :doh She thinks of everything :lol2
I wish to state here and now, I do not need a walker (well, maybe a cane now and them when my back gives me trouble) :lol2
So I sit here Praising the Lord and thanking Him for His Blessings.
So longing to see Jesus :rapture
