Windows Movie Maker - if anyone's used it, I need help

I am using this software (on Vista) to do a movie of photos for a Cub Scout Blue and Gold banquet. I would like to change the background color of the title slide to a darker blue, like a Cub Scout blue. I cannot figure out how to do this. The Titles menu will let you change the font and the color of the font on the title page, but not the background color. Surely there's a way! :scratch Can someone help? Thanks!

Wouldn't PowerPoint be easier?

I do not believe Windows Movie Maker has this capability, as it is a basic movie maker. To darken a slide (photo) you will have to do that with a graphics editing program first, then import into WMM to use as your title slide. Hope this helps. :)

You can do it. Theres many things WMM can't do any many times I've wanted to strangle my computer using it, but you can change the background color on the text slides. Click "Titles and Credits" then "Title At The Beginning" then "Change The Text Font And Color" then the little box of color under the word "Color".

Oops, I thought Diane 1611 was using a photo as the title slide. :doh
