I have not been to a good old-fashioned tent revival for at least 30 years. Does anyone know of one in Northeast Ohio? I live about one hour south of Cleveland.

I'm itching for a good revival with grass under your feet, and everyone waving make-shift paper fans. Complete with uncomfortable fold up chairs of course.

Hey, I'm just a little below you guys, probably about an hour south of the Cleveland airport (which, given the traffic in Cleveland, is an hour south of Cleveland proper :)

that would be fun; I'm praying for the Lord to open up opportunities, maybe I'll be invited to do one somewhere. It's fun to see what He has in store.

BTRW, flying out tomorrow for graduation down at Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga. So, I'll be busy and away a while.

I used to attend tent revivals held by Broadway Assemblies of God when I was a little girl. I still dream of going to summer camp at their property. I remember once a horse got loose and came into the girls shower house. I remember we only had cold showers, and every night the guy with the mosquito fogger would come around and we had to cover our heads until the fog cleared. We made crafts and built a brick walkway. It was a wonderful week. At night, there were wonderful tent revival meetings. I remember one night a terrible storm came through and took the tent down. Many of us went to the basement of the old house. I still have dreams of that place.

Oh yes, and I still remember the lady with several kids with the huge black shiny purse that she kept a wooden paddle in. Funny the things we remember.

Anyone else attend that camp? I would love to hear your stories.

I will definitely let you know. I lived in Sheffield Lake, Amherst and Avon as a kid. I'm 47 now. We attended Broadway Assemblies of God. I would like to visit there again some day. They gave me a wonderful strong base for my faith.
