only one problem. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/icebear713/smilies/doh2.gif

i didn't order seed trays. i was certain i had some in the basement, but i havn't been down there for 5 months. i asked hubby to look for them, but he didn't see 'em.
( but then he cant find mayonnaise in the fridge three inches from his face :lol2)

So, they may very well be down there, but since hubby has looked once....:rolleyes
i bought peat pellets...i love peat pellets.... i didn't save any styro meat trays cause i didn't think i needed them http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/icebear713/smilies/dunno.gif

So, now i gotta order trays. but i don't want to wait 2 more weeks, i need to start http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/icebear713/smilies/99e01d9a.gif ASAP...

anyone know where i can get just trays, fast and not too expensive?

:ohno:lol2

What we do is get either old baking dishes or go to the dollar store and buy the cheap ones and start them in it. Just put the dirt in the pan and through the seeds in there. When they sprout you can then either transplant them into small pots or put them in the garden.

I mix my potting soil with peat moss just because of the moisture control anyway :thumb

Go with mommas suggestion :nod

i did manage to collect enough trays over time as i slowly planted seeds, i made tape flags on toothpicks to mark each planted pellet. i bought seed flats from my seed company and they arrived a few days ago, i transferred the seedlings from about a dozen meat trays (and other assorted plastic containers)...it filled 4 standard seed flats... much easier to move outside for strong sunshine and hardening off and then to bring back in at night to seep in the mini greenhouse.

i think i have maybe 3 more seed packets to plant up, the rest are for outdoor sowing.

anyway... just wanted to babble about that without derailing any other thread :D
