Has anyone seen it yet? What do you think? I haven't had the opportunity yet. So how does Spidey's boss come off in this movie? Pretty close to the Marvel version?

Well, I just got back from seeing it. Well done. Joe Favreau (director) surprised me some. He's an actor who has been on sitcoms and movies and I had no idea he would end up directing one.
And, as always, Robert Downey does a fab job with his acting. Didn't realize Gwynneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges were in it. They did well too.
Good high-tech elements in the screenplay and it had a significant amount of storyline and chemistry which gives it continuity and integrity as in the better movies we see. (126 min long)
Worth the ticket price.

I never was satisfied with Toby Maguire as Peter Parker. That seemed to spoil it for me even though the movie was done well. The Peter Parker role was very prominent in the original Spider Man comic books in my day, so it was a difficult role to fill (in my mind) by someone like Maguire.
William Defoe helped it, though. So overall it was good, but I liked Iron Man better because it didn't have an actor in it that I didn't set well with.

I liked it better, of course I like Robert Downey's work. Maybe I'm just partial on the acting side. :)
