Hi Ladies,

I am in a bit of a bind right now and I need good ideas to get me out of it!:)
One of the young ladies at our church is getting married and wanted to have cookies as part of the centerpieces on the table. My girlfriend and I have volunteered to bake and are very excited about it......but now we are also doing the whole centerpiece...which we are excited about too but at the same time are feeling:thinking:idunno:scratch:hehee & :panic!!!! We have thought about putting them on decorated tiered serving stands.....which we have put a call out for within the church for. Do any of you have any ideas that might help us along or know where we could buy inexpensive serving stands or how to make something? We have about 13 tables to do. Thanks ever so much for any suggestions that are out there....be blessed.

I am not the Martha Stewart type so I'm not too talented in this area, but have you thought about doing some kind of cookie bouquet or something similar? If you do an internet search for wedding cookie bouquet or wedding cookie centerpiece you'll come up with some sites that show pictures - there is also one on ebay right now that shows a photo. Also ebay has wedding cookie cutter sets at reasonable prices.

For my daughter's wedding...we had a seperate cake for each table as the center piece, instead of one wedding cake. Each was different flavors and was decorated in the wedding party colors. :thumb

I did a wedding and we used cupcakes. We stacked them up using flower pots. You could use anything you have that is the same height. I wrapped everyting from pizza pans to plates in white fabric and it was really pretty. I also put fresh greenery and flowers in the centers of each tier. I am not sure where you live but here in Ok we have lots of the English Ivy so I just went around town and asked if I could have snips of it and not one person turned me down. Just think outside of the box and you can come up with lots of different ideas. I don't know how to put photos on here or I would let you see the one I did.
God Bless,
Joy

i have seen cookies with lollypop sticks baked into them, then decorated and stuck into florist's foam in terracotta pots. ribbons tied into bows at the top of the stick, etc....
