Cloth Diapers

I wanted to start this thread to give info about cloth diapers to new (or not!) Mom's. There was some good info in another thread... so please contribute!

I use Bumkins and my daughter loved it when I made the switch! I really wish I had known about these new types of cloth diapers with the velcro and inserts and such!

You can also find them used and new on e-bay. Just watch for the shipping price! Sometimes the used ones are more absorbent that new! I also use a fleece insert on the top layer, as it pulls the moisture away from baby.
I but the cheap plastic covers at Walmart for nighttime.

My baby (OK- almost 2 year old!) has not had any severe rashes since we switched. Before we were dealing with them constantly!

I have a ton of links and info, but I'll have to post later when the kids are in bed. A lot of people are feeling the pinch right now so it is a good time to get into cloth diapering. I'm glad we have our cloth diapers so if things get really expensive I don't have to worry about choosing between diapers and milk. :)

I bought one of those bumkins all in ones when I was first trying different diapers out. Unfortunately I bought the wrong size and it didn't fit so i sent it back. I have a bumkins cover that is really nice, though.

I have tons of pictures I can post once I get on my other computer! I will try to do that tonight. There is NOTHING better than a baby in a cloth diaper! I made all of mine and I’m making my SIL 16 in the next few weeks.

WOW! You MADE them? You are obviously a lot more talented than me! I make hubby sew buttons back on my pants and such! :lol2

I was going to, but then we had our 4th child right after our 3rd...well it WAS 15 months, but it felt like it was back to back...so I never did. I've made them for friends and everyone loved them. I just figured there are so many people who sell them mine wouldn't be needed.
