I wasn't sure if this was considered a "natural disaster".... but look at the photos.

We have huge sink holes open up all the time here in central FL. One massive sink hole opened up about 2 years ago, on our main road in and out of here. What a bummer that was with so many of us having to go way out of the way detouring. It was on the World News.

Too bad they're not opening up around the U.S./Mexico boarders:idunno. Might be just the deterrent to stem the flow of illegals.

Sinkholes are a part of everyday life here. We had one open up under a lake here and it just about sucked it dry. It took years to get the lake back to normal. We also had one open up under a friend’s house a few years ago. Back where I would ride my horses, you could find them everywhere full of water. That's one of the reason visitors think we have so many lakes, the sinkholes fill up with water and look like lakes.

I had an aunt and uncle who live in this area, we went and visited them in the mid-70s, my uncle took us around and showed us several sinkholes.:idunno Most were caused by drilling operations. One hole supposedly had the drilling rig still standing up at the bottom of it. I remember the clear blue water in them.
