Stimulating the economy?

I read that only 30 percent of people are actually going to use their stimulus package to help stimulate the economy. What about YOU? Are you helping or hanging onto it? Some are stimulating OPEC with it by using it for gassing up.:nod

We're going to be doing plenty of stimulating the economy... once our insurance check gets here. Have to replace what we lost in the fire.

Well, as our electric company announced an 18% rate hike that will be going into effect on July 1st, I guess it'll all be going to gas, food, and electricity. Isn't it amazing how the electric company just happens to raise its rates as the last of stimulus checks have gone out? I don't believe it's any coincidence - everybody has their hands out for a piece of this little bit of money we're getting. :ohno

Mine'll be thrown into my savings account. Save for an emergency or something.

I've used it to buy some clothes for my kids, and purchase homeschool materials. The rest I'll use to pay for my kids homeschool co-op classes, which will only be a few hundred dollars. Then I'll save the rest for next year.

A good piece of it will go to the church - might as well let the church stimulate the economy - and the other portion will get invested in a mutual fund. So, overall it is long term investing both ways.

Has anybody ever thought about this on taxes?

Why are we taxed on the income we make, when the income we make is in fair trade for our time in working. It isn't a profit, it is an exchange of worth.

as to the stimulus tithing and working on an idea that if it works will patent it.
