The other day, my professor made us read an article titled "It's a Flat World After All." THis article is an excerpt from Thomas Friedman's book "The World is Flat." Of course my professor wanted us to read it from a worldly standpoint as a wake up call for Americans. However, since many Bible prophecy scholars believe that the US is not in Bible Prophecy because we loose our "top of the world economic status," I thought this was interesting.

Great read!!! This should open America's eyes on what is really going on with the economy and jobs.
One other thing, this reminds of the Tower of Babel. All the world's knowledge at one's fingertips, cyberspace....the new Tower of Babel.

I believe the US will be destroyed in the first four judgments of the trib. War, pestilence, and famine kills a quarter of the earth's population, the US would fit right into that scenario.
Think about it: Russia invades the mideast. The US gets involved and China, Russia, and...Europe nukes the US destroying America completely. I say Europe because people marvel at tyhe AC saying, "Who can make war with him."
Satan knows how much the gospel pervades every sapect of America. If any country can recognize the rapture and what it means, it will be the US. Millions of Bibles will be left behind. I don't think satan will want an instant revival the moment the trib begins.
I think satan has definite lethal plans for the US. Thats why we are not in prophecy.

I'm not a prophecy expert (so I can be way off here), but I've before wondered if the three fallen kings from Daniel 7:24 are the newly united Canada, United States and Mexico.:idunno

this is just my opinion, BUT.
I don't see the empire of the AC as a global empire. The reason: China isn't under his control. I think the last empire will be Europe and maybe the norther African states.
The three fallen kings will be three European states. Britain is the only one with solid sovereignty issues with the EU, and likely two of the eastern states who see their newly won freedom slipping away will side with Britain and lose.
For some reason the global empire thing never stuck to me. Feet of iron and clay aren't enough to stitch the world together. A massive European empire, sure, but it seems not even Israel is part of that empire.

Well, when I look at scripture, particularly this one, it gives the sense that no nation will stay independent:
(Dan 7:23) "Thus he said: "As for the fourth beast, there shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all the kingdoms, and it shall devour the whole earth, and trample it down and break it to pieces."

Well, OK. Just blow a hole in my theory. Dang, trucks could drive thru that one.
Still in the Trib, China invades the Mid East with an army of 200 million and the forces of the AC hurry to meet the Chinese in battle only to ally with them in the face a third army: the returning forces of Christ.
China is not the obedient slave state. And that makes me think the AC doesn't control the whole earth.

From what I understand, currently Russia and the Arab counties have their own anti-west world order agenda and China has theirs.

I believe the reason America is not in prophecy is because the rapture will bring this country to it's knees. Only thing, it will not be a great number of people being raptured but enough to cause it's downfall. What I envision is nuclear bombs being launched on America and moments before impact we are out of here and no chance for anyone here to get a second chance because here in America we had it easier accepting Jesus as our Savior. Today is the day of salvation not tomorrow.

Another thing I forgot to say, that thousands of years ago the old testament mentioned that this world was a circle long before Columbus found out. Is there anyone that knows the verse? It's definitely in the old testament .
