Let me start by saying that I will be seeking a medical professional for their diagnosis and advice. I'm only asking to see if there is something out there I should ask my Dr about checking into when I see him. This has been going on for 3 months by my hubby's calendar, and once he mentioned it to me I started seeing it as well.

My body is acting preggo.

My shape is turning from pear to apple swiftly....like my eating and exercise is healthier than it's been in years and I'm getting bigger. "The Girls" are bustin' out all over.

My mood swings are getting a bit nutty.

My food cravings are causing Fundad to insist I'm pregnant. Things like bowls of saurkraut with mustard, hot cajun spices on all foods.

Insomnia combined with extreme fatigue. I'll sleep for 14 hours, be up for 3 and down for a nap again. Two days later I will not be able to sleep for the life of me. Up until sunrise run all day and still up at midnight the next night.

Lower back pain, combined with breathlessness. When I'm preggo this is a sign of uterine enlargement.

I'm even feeling fluttering in the lower belly. :twitch

HOWEVER

Test after test shows I am certainly not preggo. I took digital tests at different times of the day. Besides, Fundaddio was fixed while I was growing the last kiddo. My 'monthlies' are on time to the day.

So tell me what you think here? It's because I'm so familiar with pregnancy that it's the only thing that comes to mind, but I'm SURE these symptoms can be linked to something else.

Suggestions?

The symptoms I've left in your quote are ones that I experienced with peri-menapause. The lower back pain could be due to "The Girls bustin out all over". peri-menapause was the worst 4 years of my life until it finally tapered down. Anyway, you may want to have your ob-gyn check and see if this is the case. If it is, you can then have saliva done to see what you're short on, estrogen or testosterone, and you can get cream of either to make up for the "lack of."

If it is peri-menapause, I highly recommend the book The Wisdom of Menapause by Dr. Christine Northrup. Not only is it informative and humorous, but in the back it's chalked full of where you can get stuff, i.e. when it hit, I started getting spider veins in my cheeks:twitch. Her book in the back covered that and gave several websites that sell creams that will make them disappear. I ordered one of them and it worked.

Good luck:hug!

You can still get your period when you are pregnant and vasectomies don't always work or they may reverse themselves.

That said, it could also be perimenopause. I've been in it for 10 years now. Miserable until I went on HRT. I mean, literally bouncing off the walls, unreasonable, flaming eyes, not nice to be within 10 miles of miserable. Hot flashes, night sweats, the whole shebang.

How's your thyroid?

A co-worker of mine had the same thing happen to her...same symptoms and everything. I even brought her a pregnancy test to take but it was negative. She finally went to the doctor and found out she was starting menopause.

Sounds like a good idea. Please be sure to get the thyroid checked while you're at it. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have your ovaries examined as long as you're there. They can produce symptoms, too, from what I've heard.
We care about you. Please post after you go to Dr. :hug
