* Moderaters, if this is in the wrong place - thanks in advance for moving it to the right place...

could anyone please help me to understand the interpretation of this passage...:idunno

John 10: 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

My reading of these verses before simply seemed that Christ was talking about those who have gone before us who are yet alive...:scratch

Please share your thoughts, I am not nearly as well read as many of you in terms of understanding the scriptures

thanks all

Martians? :scratch

I vaguely recall "martians" have green blood, so they could not be considered as an appropriate example of what Jesus was referring to as sheep of His flock.

The Vatican might be busy investigating some way to bypass this color of the blood problem, but until some apparition, maybe by "mary" again, we will have to wait until getting to Heaven, before getting the correct answer to such an important question.
