Ok... I have never been one to really work out, maybe some crunches and push-ups before I had kids.... anyways, I joined Curves and have been going 2 or 3 times a week for a month and a half. I really have to loose the weight I gained from my 2 kids, as I know my metabolism is only going to go downhill!
I have lost inches already, but I have heard that exercising is supposed to increase your energy level. I have been so tired since I started, though and it is a struggle to go. Will this pass? Is anyone out there experienced with this? I may go to the doctor to get some blood work done, but it came about when I started exercising, so I thought maybe it was related. :idunno

Any advice would be appreciated!!

All I can tell you is that when I exercise early in the morning, it usually energizes me for the remainder of the day. I used tio work out and play volleyball at night. Then I couldn't get to sleep all night because I was too energized.

See- that's just too weird, because I go in the mornings (it's right next door to the daycare.) I feel good for about an hour or so and then it's back to being tired. :scratch Maybe it's because I've never been a high energy person...

It will pass. Your body will get used to it. As time by and weight drops, you'll feel better for two reasons: First, because your body is getting stronger. Second, because your body will expend less energy to move because there is less of you to move! Less weight means less energy spent on exercise because you are smaller! You WILL feel better. Just give it time. :)

lynngraphics,

It will take time for you to get used to it. However, both my husband and I are completely wiped out when we work out in the morning. We have a better time working out around 5:30 or so in the evening. It also seems to give us enough time to wind down before we go to bed.

Make sure you are getting a good balanced diet and taking vitamines as well. Too many sweets, fried food, soda's and diet drinks will sap your energy as well.

Thanks, guys! This is encouraging as the exercise is working... and I eat pretty decent most of the time!

I had to take three months off of exercise last year because of surgery. It hurt to get back in to the swing. I was tired and lost so much stamina, but I eventually got it back.

Find the time of the day that works best for you as far as exercising. Some people are not morning people, my husband hates walking the dog in the morning, but sometimes he has to if I can't. I enjoy getting up and getting out with her, it gives me a chance to "wake up."

DH much prefers taking the dog in the evening and running her then. We used to (pre-wrist injury) play raquette ball three times a week, but now that I can't, we ride bikes.

Lord willing I'm headed back to the gym tonight. The pregnancy sickness has been rough and hopefully I won't puke while on the treadmill...I'm thinking that might be a little embarassing...lol:)
I took a couple of weeks off...arrrrggghhh...I hate taking time off. That first time back is rough for me...I'll probably be breaking out in a sweat and out of breath like I just finished a marathon...and I'll still just be warming up:)
