Tomatoes!

What tomatoes are good for sauces? I know the standard Roma, but are other tomatoes just as good? I recently planted a hybrid goliath tomato plant and have 5 lil green tomatoes already. :thumb I also have a grape tomato plant and I plan to use those in salads or just for snacking. I do like a good sliced tomato with sea salt on them. Yummy.

Not sure about the answer to your question, but I am wondering as well!!

My grape tomato plant is going crazy!! If I would have known it would produce so much, I would have planted more of those and less cherry tomatoes!!

Yes, you can really use any kind of tomato for sauce, but the Romas are the best as they are meatier with fewer seeds and not so juicy. You just have to cook the other tomatoes longer because of the juice content. Enjoy! :thumb
