Most people are already seeing nearly $4 a gallon, if not $4 bucks... My question is.. They are only going to get higher, and do you think it will come to a point where people will try to steal the gas from our tanks?? :idunno I know a lot of cars have a locked gas tank... but not all do. :thinking. What do you think?

Actually, I've heard that is already happening. We live north of Atlanta, and there was something on the news about it the other night.

I heard something on a talk show (Rush i think) and they were talking about congress passing some bill in the next few months that will slap a buck fifty rise in the gas the day its passed, and then it will rise to ten dollars a gallon or so by Christmas. Now don't quote me, I just got slightly ill thinking about it then blocked it out of my mind, because it was such a terrible thought.

If it gets that high its going to be our govenments new laws to regulate it and tax it and fine it that MAKES that happen.

The day is comming here in this country where it will look like Mad Max. Look how we treat one another on our highways when gas was $1.69 a gallon. Road Rage because someone is actually driving the speed limit? I was in a gas station getting coffee and some gas. People were yelling at the clerks over gas using profanity in front of small kids. This is only getting started if the US does not change its energy policy now in 10 years it will be like it was in the 1800s. Unless what we are seeing is part of the end time prophetic landscape and perhaps awnsers the question biblical prophecy students have asked for decades why is the US not an end time player in prophecy what happens to the country

The bad news is it has already started. Most vehicles have an anti-siphon device in the filler pipe of the fuel tank, the bad news is they just poke holes in the tank for the gas.:idunno

I keep having the thought that the prices climb because there is always talk of "3.00, then 4.00, then 5.00 gas," and so it is a "self-fulfilling prophecy."

Whoever sets the prices just follows the talk.

to some extent, yes. many stations in the Eastport area are unable to sell premium or super because their pumps are unable to calculate a per gallon price that is that high...

so in a way, gas is getting too high to sell - because the equipment simply cannot do it. so they are unable to sell the "good" stuff.
but i do wonder how well premium and super blends are selling anyway...?

I have to use premium... paid 3.99 in Texas. I nearly fainted. I have tried using lower grade, but I had to replace the coils about 2 weeks after solid use of the mid grade... thats what the repair guy chalked it up to. Sad thing is I cannot trade it in becasue no one is buying cars that take premium...
