Okay, now for this question.
The oil is on a runaway streak forward. It's showing no sign of stopping.
Yet, I hear on the news and am starting to read where people are cutting back.
Why aren't we seeing this in inventory that they report on every week or two?
Is this a cover up?
You can tell me everyone is driving the same or more at this cost.
It used to be, if U.S. inventories were up, oil would drove.
Now what's the deal here????
I feel like we are so getting played here!

We are....Shell and Mobil make billions in record profits every quarter, yet they are driving all other industries into the ground.
You telling me we can advance technologies in every field beyond the imagination of even a decade ago, but we can't make every car get 50 mpg with low emissions? I'm callin' shenanigans

So what's Shell and Mobile going to do when it get's near $7 and $8 a gallon, and very few drive????
And the economy really starts to tank.
Do they still think they're going to make record profits then???

Fact of the matter is no matter how much Americans cut usage we will still be buying ME oil as it is the most cost effective to refine. Also another point whatever is saved in consumption will be used by China and India. Something else to remember is China is producting 29000 cars a month now for internal use and all those tanks use gasoline.....

I was surprised that people were still taking their boats out on the St. Croix River last Sunday. Then again, it was down from the usual Sun. afternoon.

Over the last few days I have had to use my 1-ton Chev truck for some heavy hauling for the farm and it cost me nearly $175 for 3 days work.

I am convinced this is just getting started. Our nation runs on tractor trailers. We can all convert our cars to run on jellybeans and get 100 mpg but that is not going to help the tractor trailers, the tractors on the farms, the aircraft that move people from cost to cost, move overnight packages, small hubs that recieve aircraft from large cities.
This train has left the station. I believe this is one of the reason the US is not a prime player in the end time scene. This issue should have been permanetly addressed in the late 70s crisis.

Yes, because not just personal vehicles, but every vehicle requires their product...farm tractors, 18 wheelers, etc. Their record profits are in the billions, so even $40-50 million loss is not that big a dent. They'll just raise prices to compensate and subsequently, raise the prices on everything else.
