how could a God fearing person have any sayso in helping rule our world? if God fearing people were in power we wouldnt have the problems we have.

Arguably true!!
But look at the Bible..
there are tons of example of Leaders that walked with God..
At some stage or another they lost their way...but Praise God some of them came back to the Lord e.g King David..

Even someone who loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind is an imperfect human. The bible tells us that ALL have sinned and fallen short. Not some, not a few, but ALL. In the light of that, it is really little surprise that the world is in such a mess.
