i saw that on the news too.
how common are those black "panthers" in that area? :scratch or was it a very dark Mtn lion? or a zoo escapee?
Officials said the panther weighed 60 pounds and measured 3 feet. They also said it was declawed, which indicates that someone owned it as a pet.No one in the area has reported it missing, but animal control officials said it could have roamed as much as 100 miles from its home.
:rolleyes

When I open my door and walk outside each morning to get my newspaper, the neighbor's cat takes off running like he or she is scared to death. This morning the cat just stared at me and did not move.
Also today it sprinkled in Las Vegas and I had the opportunity to use my windshield wipers for the second time since last November.

Only our dear Lord and Savior knows what is going on! As for me, if the animals(domesticated or not) are acting in strange ways, let it be another sign that our time for being with the Lord is near! Come now Lord Jesus!

Well, I won't say that I consider this evidence...but, just to contribute to this thread, the other day we were taking our walk down the trail and we saw a very large flock of vultures in the field near us...about 8 of them.
We assume there was something dead and they were feasting...BUT we didn't go and take a closer look (for obvious reasons).
But, they were circling us (including my young children)...and [I]that[I] was kind of wierd.

:aha My sister used to have one of those.
Anyway, what I find interesting is that Rev. 6 speaks about wild animals killing people being part of the 4th seal. I'm NOT saying the seal has been opened...not yet...but has anyone noticed the increase of attacks by wild animals?
More reports about zoo and circus animals retaliating against those who tease or taunt them...coyotes suddenly preying on small children...even an elephant--the gentle giant--stomped on someone somewhere not long ago. Shark attacks are up.
A foreshadowing, perhaps? All God's creatures are feeling the deterioration of this fallen world.
:nod I've noticed the increase in attacks on humans by land, sea, and air! In fact I mentioned it to my husband just the other day after the lady was attacked by the pelican....

well I was just strolling thru this thread reading the beginning thinking about how I thought I saw a black panther the other day.. and then I see this post..
:thinking okay I guess I don't feel as crazy as I thought I was..:hehee
I live in KC near where this happened.. and I thought I saw a black panther walking around the street a few days ago and I've been wondering about it ever since but of course I told myself it was a really large dog with a long tail.
It was near nightfall and I just thought my mind was playing tricks on me.
I was going down this road and this huge thing comes out across the road in front of my car walking very much like a cat and really taking its time not running or anything. I was the only one on the street at the time and he went straight in front of me into the woods. It wasn't night just yet and I could see it was completely black and had a long tail.. :scratch
:doh You could've taken it down with your car!:heh

I was driving to work on Thursday a busy part of town and I saw a pygmy goat running across the street into a car parking lot, does that count.

For what it's worth... ravens have been attacking living animals like sheep and calves in the UK. This is strange behavior indeed... ravens generally live on carrion. One article (don't remember where I saw it), said that EU regulations about disposing of animal carcasses might be to blame??? Who knows.

well...there have always been animal attacks. People are displacing a lot of them by moving into areas people never lived in before. Development and all. The weather has been weird and that would make them move around and increase some populations and decrease some. I'm not saying something isn't up, but there sometimes are rational explanations for things. Sometimes. :)
