Yep, I'm just a little north of you near the la/oc county border and i too noticed that all the gas stations near me are now over 4.01 a gallon...

but there is the exception of an ARCO (owned by BP) that has (had as of yesterday afternoon) gas at 3.89 it's the cheapest in the area so I always go there...I'm gonna hate it when their gas hits 4.00 a gallon:fear

On my commute route home yesterday afternoon, I saw regular for $4.12. Crazy.

I think it will be $5/gal. by the 4th of July.
I've been hearing this, too. Speculation around here has been that once it hits $5.00, we'll see ALOT more people taking the mass transit system to and from work, shopping, etc.

Unfortunately out in the sticks the closest thing we have is a taxi for mass commute....

I also think think $5.00 by July 4.....

It will be so nice to be in our resurected bodies. If we want to go to Jerusalem to visit Jesus we just *POOF* we are there. No carbon foot prints, no CO2 emissions, no $5.00 gallon:)

$5.06 in some parts of the country, this morning, according to Mapquest. I didn`t check to see where - just seeing that figure was bad enough.

:yikes :fear

Thank the Lord we bought a 3rd car for my husband to drive to work-so he could park his truck. Nothing like going back to 1996 and unlocking the door by hand!! We're now spending less than half the amount of gas, and will pay for the car in less than a year at $5+/gal.

I've never owned a car that you didn't unlock by hand. Is there another kind? LOL Well, we did rent a car a few years back with one of those beepy lock things.

Seriously, we're supposed to be "in the world, but not of it" so why do we continue to see 10 new threads daily about the price of gas? Maybe I'm fortunate in that I have a good job and $40-50 a week in gas hasn'tyet to put a pinch on my wallet. But we shouldn't worry about the price of gas or oil. There's nothing we can do to stop it from going up, so why do we want to give non-believers any more reason to not become belivers?

We need to rise above the cares and concerns of this and stand on Christ our Solid Rock. Let's have faith (and let's show that faith) that no matter how bad things get and no matter how high the price of gas goes, we know that He will get us through. Let's stop the pandering of fear and worrying, and let's start spreading some mustard-seed faith.

Not totally disagreeing with you....HOWEVER...

The Lord IS my Rock and Refuge. I also live in the "real" world, and this along with a multitude of other things affect me and millions of other believers and I am glad and blessed to have an outlet to share thoughts, etc. To look the other way is just another way of sticking my head in the sand. We had no control over the quakes in China of the cyclone in Burma...but should we stop discussing them because it may be interpreted as "pandering of fear and worry"?

I'm happy for you the Lord blessed you with a good job, and you are not feeling the pinch, YET...but I know of folks who this is taking a terrible toll on already. I hope this didn't come off as anything other than my expressing my opinion...for it is done with nothing but that in mind...my opinion :hug
