Note: I do not want to start an argument regarding a well-known pastor's recent remarks.
This is about the context of the Scripture quoted.
But I did go to the Word to see for myself exactly what God says about the subject of Aliyah.
I disagree with the recent comment about Hitler doing God's bidding.
I do believe that God can pick up the pieces of the most horrible events imaginable and turn them to His greater Glory.
Aliyah is to His Glory.
For starters, I think many folks don't factor Free Will into the equation. Hitler was acting on his free will, not the Will of God.
"Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the Lord, and they will fish them out;..."
Could the fishers be the benevolent people who helped pave the way for Aliyah (i.e. Rothschild) in the decades/19th Century prior to the Third Reich?
What about charitable groups such as International Fellowship of Christians and Jews who are instrumental in helping Jews worldwide make Aliyah today?
These are but a couple of examples.
Also, could there be a connection to the timing of the fishers to the Church Age (Age of Grace)?
"...and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and out of the clefts of the rocks."
To me, this sounds more like simultaneous global anti-semitic persecution as described in prophecies addressing The Time of Jacob's Trouble.
The Church Age will be ended by then and the world will be under God's Judgment.
The hunter description implies to me that of a person who tracks the Jews down for sport, profit, or both.
