My husband and I are planning to get personalized fortune cookies to announce the soon to be arrival of baby #12. I had an ultrasound today and we only saw one in there, but now that I have done that I want to start thinking about this.

I was wondering if any of you had any ideas on messages to go inside the cookies. I would love to hear them. :)

Sounds like a fun idea.

Kids are like donuts, they are better when you get them by the dozen. :aha

Ok, ok, that was not great but it's the first thing that came to mind. :hat

We were rather "unoriginal" with our announcement to my parents and DH's... I took a photo of the pregnancy test and emailed it to my family since they're in the US and called them so they'd open it on the phone.

For the inlaws, we wrapped it and let them unwrap the present. ;)

Were we having #12, I'd probably purchase everyone a copy of the book "Cheaper by the Dozen" and it's sequel, :D:

Donuts come in a dozen, but the 12th won't be done until at least 7 more months.

LOL. I am not that creative! :aha

I like this thread and I can't wait to see the other suggestions!

i'd definitely capitalize on the "dozen"theme...

maybe collect some egg cartons (you can buy blank ones online), fill them with 11 pink and blue easter eggs (if they can be found) write each current child's name on each - or on a fortune cookie slip of paper inside, the last egg #12, use a neutral color, green or yellow, and inside that egg, tuck a rolled copy of the sonogram or a bit of white scrapbooking ribbon that says something about an anticipated arrival.... i have seen "boy or girl?" printed ribbon before....

thats my pre coffee first post in the morning idea http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/icebear713/smilies/bigcoffee.gif

"our home/family just grew by two feet"

"ask me why i'm glowing"

14 + 1= 15

I think that is a pretty neat suggestion. I'd go with that!

It's really great to see you sooooo excited about #12 hoping everything goes smoothly!

Fortune cookie could read
A new love is coming your way...
A bundle of joy some might say.
With tiny fingers and cute little toes...
Boy or girl nobody knows.
