I found a article that will make just what a fiat currency/economy is that I thought explained it quite well. If any of you wonder what it is since it is mentioned often, or even if you know or think you know what it is, this article is a good read. Bonus: the link at Mises.org in the first paragraph is well worth a watch too.

I hope all of you or most of you will be able to take a bit of time to read/view this information. I already know that some of you have disagreement with some of the folks in the videos, politically, but ignore that and pay attention to the economic issues.

Question- In the tape he said something that the Dollar is going to keep going down, but we wouldn't go into hyperinflation, then what will happen to the economy and our money system? I need to go over it again, it was very interesting, and it helped me to understand some of whats happening..

Deanne, I'm glad you found the (a) video at Mises.org. Sometimes I wonder about me .... :aha sheesshhh .... I just went to click on the link in the article to check what you were saying about the dollar and realized I forgot the link to the article that contains the link to the Mises videos. :tsk

its not so much on the inside of the country. its on the outside. When other countries use our dollar and they start to notice it is further slipping south, they wont use it; and when they dont use it, we suffer.
