My HP desktop came with MS WORKS 8.0 installed. I purchased from Sam's Club the MS Office Small Business Suite upgrade that will work as long as I already have at least MS Works or another MS Office program already installed. I have had no problems with the upgrade.

My question is can I use the same upgrade disks on a different computer to upgrade that one as well? Or has Microsoft somehow found a way to track this to prevent pirating.

Anyone know if this will work with more than one computer?

1. No, you can't. Well, you probably 'can' but it's illegal.

2. Yes, but you shouldn't, for the same reason.

Why not just use Open Office. it's free and works great.

Never heard of it. I have alot of documents already in Word (2003) format and Excel (2003) spreadsheets. Will Open Office allow me to use my documents and modify them?

It'll do Word Perfect documents too. It will even let you save your work as a PDF document. OpenOffice likes to use its own format for stuff, so if you want to send a word document to someone else then all you have to do is click save as and tell it to save as a word document.
