I'm not disagreeing with you, but can you explain that? It seems that if one knew when the 7 year peace treaty was signed between Israel, it's neighbors, and the anti-christ, one would know exactly when the Second Coming would occur.

I agree with you. It's said that 7 years will pass by until the Second Coming would occur. If we're literal Bible believers, we have to assume that you can literally count the days until the Lord returns!

I appreciate your graciousness, Red Aaron.
In considering the seven year tribulation period, it seems easy enough for us to think that they would be able to "count the days" from the confirmation of the covenant to His Second Coming. However, while I believe that the trib is a specific length (2520 days), I also believe that scripture does not say specifically that Christ's Second Coming will fall right on the last day of it (or the day following it, however you look at it.) It could fall on a day shortly following that specific time period (possibly within the 75 additional days named in Daniel.)
I also believe the scripture is specific when it says "day or hour." They would know the general time frame, but not the day nor hour.
Add to that the fact that most folks on earth won't be looking for it (some due to their believing The Lie ~ 2 Thess. 2), and also the conditions on the earth at some point making it difficult to keep track of days (sun/moon darkened, etc.) I know I've had times in my life when I've lost track of days (within a mere week's time), under much less-stressful circumstances! Ha!
Also, they won't have the advantage of being sealed with the Spirit (other than the 144,000 and the Two Witnesses), so it would be easy for them to be tempted to "give up counting" after awhile, even if they did have an uncomplicated way of keeping track.
There are many other thoughts to add to these, I'm sure. These are just a few that come to mind... My main point is that I don't think it will be as simple as counting to an exact day and hour. The length of the trib, yes; to His Second Coming, no, not exactly. :)

If you read Bill Koenig's article, he stated that even he is NOT setting any dates.:thumb

Listen, we all can think and talk about this without upsetting the mods by setting any dates.
The reason for NOT setting dates is because in past times, MANY people HAVE set dates, then those dates come and go and nothing happens. It's a poor testimony and makes christians appear as foolish and dumb.

I myself find this 2014-15 thing utterly amazing!
Especially so because of all else that is going on this world and this nation (the USA)!

Did you all see the video about the 4 blood red moons?

As far as I'm concerned, the rapture can happen anytime from right this moment to many years from now. But considering all else that's going on, I doubt very much that this world will continue on for very much longer. Especially as we are seeing the USA no longer as the economic super power, and nearing a very likely total collapse.
A New World Order is in the works!

AND, Jerusalem is becoming the main focus!

Maranatha!

in the latter days won't young men see visions and old men dream dreams? I am not saying every single dream are vision and true, but i wouldn't discredit them all either.

You might want to take another look at the rules. No dreams or visions. :hug

I think the scripture you are thinking about is referring to Israel, after the Church is raptured out of here. Joel 2:28-32 is one reference. Where it says, "your young men shall see visions..." it is talking specifically about Israel. The timing is "before the great and terrible Day of the Lord..." (i.e. during the tribulation, after the rapture of the Church.) Hope that helps. :)

By the way, Red Aaron, I appreciate your obvious passion for the Lord. It is very refreshing! :)
