All of you should remember this incident. A Christian student created a work of art for class. In the drawing, he drew a cross and referenced John 3:16. He was given a 0.

Well, the good guys have finally won something!---

Story (http://www.christianpost.com/article/20080521/32470_Student_Wins_Right_to_Use_Scripture_Referenc e_in_Art_Piece.htm)

A student who was assigned a “zero” and penalized with disciplinary action after he wrote a scripture reference on a piece of artwork won a settlement Tuesday in what was a celebration of freedom for Christians everywhere.

Last night, Glen Beck said the student was given a B+

wow! i had not heard anything about either one of those stories. this is getting ridiculous. i thought the whole point of separation of church and state, well schools, was to make sure kids werent being taught christianity in the classroom. last i checked, u could pray on ur own accord at school, and read the bible if u chose. i used to do it during reading time in class. i mean come on. this place is so irritating

dreadreadrea...a little background on the artist who finally got a B+....the school's argument was to keep religion out of the school and no one had the right to tell them what to do....in another classroom there was a statue of a budda!!! (sp)

No one said a word about that!:tsk

Separation of church and state is not in our constitution. That is just a term godless liberals came up with to shut God out. :tsk

It is good to see a victory like this for Christians when it is getting harder and harder for us to share our faith in public.

God bless you!

Our founding fathers didn't want the state establishing a preferred religion like England did. Wikipedia isn't the best source for explaining this, but it should help a bit.

Sorry I missed Glen last night. I can only handle so much bad news. Glad to see the student lost the "0".

I'm glad too. Every win we get is priceless to me. In the midst of the world becoming more and more anti-God, anti-freedom, each victory we get is like a miracle.
