Hey Rapture Ready, I'm brand new to RR, and this is my first thread. My wife is a long time veteran of RR though, she is on here all the time.
I need some help. I am a conservative, Bible believing, doctrine and truth oriented Christian. I find myself always in conflict with liberal friends who are in the emerging church movement.
I have recently asked some of them why they are liberal Christians and why are they supporting Obama. They aren't giving me the clearest answers, but they've asked me to explain why I think that liberal Christians are wrong.
I'm usually good a explaining myself but sometimes I need assistance. As far as the "liberal" idea goes, they don't regard the WHOLE Bible as truth, mention of sin and hell and wrath and such are left out, relativism is embraced, issues such as abortion and homosexuality are watered down or ignored, etc. They also claim this big Social Justice movement, they throw the word LOVE around all the time. On the politics side they are against the war, against big oil & corporations, they are into universal health care, and really like this CHANGE that Barack is talking about.
So, I need help deciphering all these issues, and putting them into words that will make sense to my friends. Can ya'll provide your knowledge for me? Give me references, links, Bible verses etc. that can help me to identify the big differences and problems with the Liberal Christian movement (Both politically and doctrinally)
