I listened to a CD probably 3 weeks ago on how Jesus taught the disciples to pray when he was asked.
Go into your closet
Praise God for all his glory and every wonderful thing
Ask His will be done in your life
Ask for forgiveness
And if you need to mention your needs go ahead but God already knows them.
The CD focused on 1 on 1 time with God and really opening your spirit to him.
I have only done the regular prayer my whole life. Ya know prayer in the car, prayer at dinner, prayer in bed…. Never have I done the “go in your closet”. I have to say that I am REALLY scared to do this. So for the last number of weeks I have not requested the usual “please keep my family safe” prayer because He already knows my needs. But I cannot make myself get in that closet. It is seriously like I’m scared of what will happen. Like I am really going to make myself 100% vulnerable in the process. Does this make any sense?
At the same time I feel the time is short here and I am happy, calm, sad, and feeling like I have to get busy for Jesus. I read many others are feeling that way too.

I sometimes go into our little bathroom, close the door and turn the light off and hit my knees. It seems I can do the most heartfelt prayers that way. I usually do this when I am feeling very weak and need to be lifted up by Him.

I'm sorry to post this, but Andy Stanley is an apostate teacher.

This track will focus on developing leadership for churches that seek to plant missional churches that are movements more than single entities. It will present a challenge as well as encouragement and practical examples that will give you the understanding and confidence you need as you undertake the task of leading in a missional church.
Attractional or and Incarnational Church planting: For many, this is a hotly debated topic that is a clear cut value-based, "either/or issue." For others, it is a "whatever works best" issue. Is it possible that it can ...

Quiz quotes two and three. Who said it? The answer is D, emerging author and interspiritualist, Leonard Sweet. The quotes are from his online book, Quantum Spirituality, in which he thanks New Age authors Willis Harmon, Thomas Berry, Ken Wilbur, and Matthew Fox for their influence on him. Believe me, the influence shows as the book is a manual for New Spirituality. Sweet speaks at the Catalyst Conference with Andy Stanley, Rick Warren, Erwin McManus and a host of other widely accepted leaders.
