Hello Everyone! :hat
I just joined a few days back, but I haven't had time to introduce myself.
My name is Michael, and I'm 35 and single. I recently moved back to Dallas following the unexpected death of my best friend and business partner in April while living and working in St. Petersburg, FL and Hilton Head Island, SC. I am so blessed to have led him to the Lord a few years ago. Oddly enough, he really sought Him diligently and whole-heartedly only in the months preceding his passing. The death was a shock to all of his friends and family, but I firmly believe that the Holy Spirit really impressed this importance on him before he met the Lord, and I'm so glad for that. Needless to say, his death threw my life for a tailspin - had to close the business and move back home.
Nonetheless, it has allowed me to slow down from all of the working and really concentrate on what the Lord has planned for me. I've been able to dedicate my life to Him and His Word in a way I've never experienced never before. So, with my buddy beholding the Lord face-to-face and the Lord working freshly and powerfully in my life, I am thankful for being back in Big D with my family and my new perspective on the delicacy and fragility of mortal life and the strength and awesomeness of spiritual life through Jesus Christ.
Anyway, I am fascinated by eschatology. I love studying prophecy, discussing it (does anyone else find its discussion woefully lacking in churches today?), and sharing with others. Everything about God gets me excited, but prophecy really gets me revved up! :yeah Just open a paper or turn on the news and we get daily confirmations of the accuracy and wisdom of the God's Word.
Ok - well, that's a little about me. I hope to enjoy fellowship and discussions with you all...I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for reading about me - drop me a line and let me know about you. I'm eager to meet some prayerful and friendly folks in these here parts! :hug
