Suddenly my Google search is miniscule, smooshed in at the end of the MS IE toolbar, and the bookmarks and other such things are hidden under these: >> I'm really irritated, because I liked the way it WAS. Why do they always have to change things? I am not impressed, if this is some attempt at improvement. Anyone know how I can get it back to the way it was?

Get Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/)
Start>Control Panel>Add/ Remove programs (assumunig you have XP)
Look for "Google Toolbar" and click the Uninstall button.
If you can't find it then open IE and right click on the on the Google toolbar, there should be an option to hide it.

Well, thanks, but maybe I wasn't clear - I LIKED the Google toolbar, the way it was. It was the full length of the screen, with all my preferred buttons right there. Easy access, nothing hidden. One day I turned on the computer, opened the IE, and it was all different. I don't like it!

Is there any chance that someone (i.e. kids, roommate, spouse) changed it accidentally?
I've had that happen before. I love my Google toolbar- it hasn't changed for me... try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, right click on it and see if you can play with the toolbar settings.
Good luck.

Okay, I uninstalled/reinstalled, and it is fine again. I didn't do that at first, cuz I thought I'd lose all my bookmarks. Kids, of course, claim that they did NOTHING to change it....which is probably true since I could find no way to get it back with any settings controls. Anyway, THANKS!

One day my grandson and my great nephew were over here and they wanted to get on the computer and play some car racing games, so I let them have it for awhile.
Later when I got on the PC, some things were changed and I don't know how to get it back.
I had some web sites that I visit often up on the toolbar, in a tab. I have no idea how to get it back.
Those little boys must have done something to change it, because it wasn't there right after they got finished what they were doing.
Oh, well, in the great scheme of things I guess it's no big deal. I'll live over it.

Have you considered providing a Guest account with locked down permissions? It saves a lot of these types of hassles.

Okay, now I'm irritated. I just connected to the internet...no one has been messing with anything all day...and the toolbar is all messed up again. I KNOW it was not any of my kids' fault this time.
The search area is maybe a half inch long. Two hours ago, it was more like 4 inches long! All my Google options are hidden behind this: >> again. Arrgh!
