I've found that the GM seeds can pollen contaminate neighboring crops that did not use GM seeds. Monsanto apparently has sued a few farmers who were found to have "infringed on their patent".:rolleyes:ohno

I posted this in a thread that was talking about gardening and using heirloom seeds. Unfortunately, it went completely overlooked and ignored.
The threat of pollen contamination, even to your home garden if you live near large farming industries, is a very real threat. Perhaps not yet, but very soon.

Montsano hold the patent on the GM (genetically modified) seeds. They sell the farmer the seed and the round up. The farmers contract prohibits them from retaining seed for planting the next year. If they retain seed Montsano goes after them with lawyers. If you watch the video I linked above, it takes some time you will be shocked as to what this US company is doing here and around the world.

Thats how it works. You major seed companies, like Pioneer only sell Round Ready Beans. There are a few mom and pop dealers who still sell regular bean seed but they are so far and few, and they are being pushed out by the big dealers. Our problem here is this is the only choice we have.

I would like to test our beans, just to see how much Round Up stays or is in the bean, but I have not way of doing it. Would be interesting to know.

If you're interested in what Monsanto has done to farmers, or about where our food is coming from, I highly recommend a documentary called The Future of Food. Netflix has it, and even if you're not a NF member, they almost always have free trial periods. It's well worth the trouble to sign up just to see this movie. You can even watch it instantly on your computer. Really, take the time. We all need to know this stuff.

Thanks agga40s. It's also available on youtube in approx. 9 minute segments.

Starting with part 1 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=sbyCI5n6KcA)

What more effective means to establishing a NWO than to control the food supply. About the only more effective thing would be to control air and water but that is impossible.

Denny, that's just scary.

We have "contamination" issues here too, but of a different sort. There is a large orange-growing agri-business here (who I won't name) who has acres and acres of GM seedless oranges. They actively try and repel/remove/kill the bees which show up in the orchards because if the trees pollinate, you get seeds in the oranges! And we can't have that.

So we're facing extreme bee shortages due to Hive Colony Collapse and there are orange farmers actively exterminating bees for doing what bees do naturally -- pollinate the trees!

I say give me oranges with seeds in them. I'd rather see a healthy bee population.

Note that the government is doing nothing to stop this. Obviously our political leaders are working with the corporations to control the world's food supply. Soon they will have complete control over all of the people in the world and then the AC will come.

This is indeed all very scary! My Dad has plants that he has been growing for years from the seeds he collects each year. He hasn't bought "seeds" in years. Maybe I should be thankful that they have closed lots of the farms around us so we don't have to worry about cross pollination.

The degree to which this is "playing God" is so mind-boggling, I can't describe it. Controlling the seeds, even the bees to prevent opllination...why am I reminded of the verses where the Israelis, wandering int he wilderness, demand meet, and God gives them so much they eat till it comes out their noses. Forget where exactly, but this is just the type of thing where I can imagine God saying to these people shortly, "You want power over everything, let's see how you handle this!' And, out come the judgments. :ohno

I can recall a discussion with a friend about 10 years ago, on our way home from some church activity. We were considering whether God would let mankind (and, thus, the devil) have the satisfaction of causing all the things of Revelation himself, or whether God would supernaturally bring them about. It is looking more and more like, while some will certainly be supernatural, such as with the sun getting hotter (after all, they foudn a couple other planets warming up, I think), it may be that God lets mankind do a lot of the damage himself. As a matter of fact, even that which is supernatural, the devil wants to take credit for. (i.e.: global warming.)

It has always been my thought that God doesn't CAUSE these things to happen, but that being all knowing, saw what we His creation would do and decided to end time before we did any more. Now I know that there are some things that can only happen because God causes it, but the sin and destroying of things like the seeds and what not is all because of us, not God.

Every time you drink a diet soda, Monsanto is poisoning you. Study up on Aspertame
artificial sweetener. And now you can't find real sugar in any soda. It's High Fructose Corn Syrup . It will rot your Liver, as if you were an Alchoholic. Don't take my word for it . Google

Actually in Texas (maybe other places?) you can get Dr. Pepper still made with sugar. Also Mexican Coca-cola you can buy in stores here and has sugar. Tastes much better and not as syrupy!
