Am I the only one who just wants to punch these people in the face?! Yes, I know that is not very Christlike, but I am sickened by this group of people who would rather see humans suffer than anything else!!!!!!
What I'd like to do to Greenpeace can't be written here.
My family's in the Appalachian coalfields, in fact my stepfather drives a coal truck. So Greenpeace, defintely not on my Christmas card list this year.
Maybe I'll send them a lump of coal though.

They (not the greenpeace but people who are like them) already managed to discontinue CFC Inhalers for people with asthma because of the ozone layer.
What they really want is for us to live like the native indians. .... but without the animal killings (for skin and food) or chopping down trees (for housing and warmth).. basically they want us to freeze to death.

You know, that's exactly right. They want us to dwell in tents and live in harmony with mother nature...drinking herb tea and eating wild plants. They'd like us Christians to disappear (and one day hopefully soon they'll get THAT wish) and they'd also like the poor beer-drinking, NASCAR watching, truck driving, meat eating, hunting crowd to disappear, too. And the two groups overlap...But they're elitists who think they're the only ones who deserve to live. Why else would they want abortion and euthenasia and dramatic population decline? They need our prayers that God would open their eyes.
Don't forget when William Tyndale was martyred, he could have called down judgement upon King Henry VIII. Instead he prayed that God would open his eyes. :pray

My home sweet home here in West Virginia still depends heavily upon the coal industry. We have diversified some in recent years with some high tech stuff, (tourism) snow skiing and white water rafting and also Government (Robert Byrd pork) but Mining and timber are still the big two.
There certainly needs to be a balance. We still have orange polluted creeks running from prior years of bad mining practices and mountain top removal caused by strip mining is still controversial but all in all things have been cleaned up over the years. Mining is also now much safer than years past.
I run a service business and we provide both janitorial and security service to several coal mines in our area.
We also work at four power plants that burn coal to make electricity. The plants now have spent millions of dollars to install "scrubbers" to clean the coal prior to burning to minimize the air pollution. It is getting better from an enviornmental stand point and this industry does provide many good jobs as well as electricity for much of our nation.

Greenpeace declares war on coal
June 16, 2008
GREENPEACE has called for all coal-fired power stations to be shut down by 2030 as part of a radical energy plan
The environment group wants an immediate ban on new coal-fired power stations - and extensions to existing plants - and for the Federal Government to start planning on shutting them down for good.
The group has released a roadmap - Australia's Energy (R)evolution - to turn the tide of increasing greenhouse-gas emissions.
"Avoiding catastrophic climate change means an inevitable phasing out of coal," the roadmap said.
...
Greenpeace also wanted a mass roll-out of electric cars and subsidies to the fossil fuel industry scrapped.

Something tells me Greenpeace wouldn't like that lots of my friends and family with oil tanks are buying wood stoves this year to stay warm...

As soon as GREENPEACE can get China to close there plants and stop them from building all the new onces that will soon be on line and come up with a viable alternative that can be used now, no one is going to listen especially at the prices we are currently paying. Unless they would like to start singing the praises of nuclear they will be a nonentity.:) Maybe they should start small like trying to shut down Al Gore's house.:yeah:hehee:pound

So, that's why my inhaler was changed.
The new inhalers don't seem to work as well? I haven't had many asthma attacks lately, but it doesn't seem to work as well...but could just be imagining things.
